LOST YOUR JOB AS A RESULT OF AN IMPAIRED DRIVING CHARGE?

without comments

Generally, an impaired or ‘over 80’ charge and 90 day automatic driver’s licence suspension (ADLS) does not constitute just cause for dismissal. Even if your job is driving a fuel tanker and you are later convicted of the offence. Just ask my client Mr. Reininger who sued his employer for wrongful dismissal and won. See Reininger v Unique Personnel, Ontario Superior Court of Justice at Peterborough (Howden, J.) (July 5, 2002).

If you are facing an impaired driving or other criminal charge, call the area’s most capable criminal lawyers, Richard Aitken, Edwin Boeve, or Nathan Baker at Aitken, Robertson in Peterborough (705) 742-0440 or go to the firm’s website at ‘Fightthecharges.com’.
